We are delighted to share details of our upcoming works at Wolfson College, Cambridge. This project will see the careful renewal of the existing roof coverings and the installation of new, high-performance materials to enhance both durability and ventilation across the building.
The works include the removal of the existing lead roof coverings, such as dormer tops, welted flashings, and welted panels. Following this, new timber will be installed with sufficient airflow to all areas, ensuring long-term resilience. We will also be installing new Code 7 milled lead gutters and sumps with new outlets and overflows to improve drainage efficiency.
The main roof coverings will be replaced with a new Uginox Stainless Steel standing seam system, complemented by new Code 5 milled lead to the welted panels, dormer tops, and flashings. In addition, new LV9 ventilators will be fitted to the dormer tops to provide suitable ventilation throughout.
This combination of traditional materials and modern systems will deliver both a robust and sustainable solution for Wolfson College.
